Alan Potamkin is Co-Chairman of The Potamkin Automotive Group. Like his father and his brother before him, Alan graduated from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Alan ran one of the largest car dealership groups in the nation for over three decades.

In 1988, he decided to branch out into broadcasting and purchased the right to build a new TV station. He also purchased and ran FM radio stations. In 1989, along with his father Victor and his brother Robert, he co-founded The Potamkin Prize.

Alan is a supporter of The Miami Children’s Museum, where the 56,500 square foot facility includes a preschool and a charter school, teaching children up to 5th grade. He is also a supporter of the Friends of Miami Animals (FoMA) a leader in animal welfare issues.
